GRENADA ELECTION IS ON MARCH 13TH 2018

Why did they pick that date?  Either an insult to the Maurice or remembrance, can't figure it out.

Re: GRENADA ELECTION IS ON MARCH 13TH 2018

Slice, I chose to wait until someone else posted the story . . . and also make the same observation as I, and I am sure many others (Grenadians and observers within the Caribbean and internationally), would make as well: why that date?

I sense that the date was chosen out of some expectation -- supposed brilliance? -- that it will reap psychological dividends, translated into favourable polls for the outgoing administration. However, more importantly, my sense is that that type of calculation may very well produce the completely opposite effect.

There is an echo somewhere . . . did someone say new government?
