Re: The Gold Ring

A low rider is kind of a dumb idea even if the roads are good in other countries.  You still need to pass over sundry items in the road.  Hitting a rock or piece of scrap metal at 70 mph is not going to do your car any good.  Ground clearance is a good thing.

I laugh at these people in Grenada who buy low-rider cars, with fancy kits added on and low-profile tyres. Catch them on any sleeping policeman, inching diagonally across the thing and scraping their underbellies, big LOL!! Like those monster speed bumps out by Westerhall, crikey. Not to mention potholes. Dumb choice of car.

Yes, but you HAVE to know it is all down to style... Practicality has nothing to do with it.

You have a few rich guys who like to do the drag racing, who probably also use their cars on the road... probably contrary to their insurance. Then you have the poor arse dragging on the ground poor wannabees who make petty cosmetic changes and stick large bore exhausts on their cars to SOUND as if they are going fast, when they can barely get up the hill and are ruining their engines as they don't get the engine management system reprogrammed and you know they haven't because their exhausts are black inside.  Pretty pathetic really... all of it.
