Tornado

Not too far from my home yesterday.  Terrifyingly beautiful.

Re: Tornado

Raasss! You took that? It seems too close for...

When I lived in Illinois there were lots of them at this time of year, you could literally feel the pressure in the air. Scary indeed.

Re: Tornado

Tornadoes are the most powerful winds in the world.  They are far stronger than any hurricane and they give you little warning.  Thank God they are relatively small.

Re: Tornado

I took this photo with a drone after the front passed us by.  I bet that thunderhead goes up to 50,000 feet.

Re: Tornado

I guess my brother-in-law didn't take the photo either.  He got it from someone else and sent it to me.

Re: Tornado

The minds wanders while watching weather news . . . will that tropical depression reach the Carenage ?. . . were those tornadoes in Iowa near RD? . . . If I were on the Carenage and heard a tidal wave was coming, would I be able to walk up to above Lucas Street [mind you I can hardly walk up hill]? . . . will I ever take a ride in a Duck Boat? . . . if hail is predicted how do I cover my car which sits outside? . . . how, just how, to have the presence of mind to rebuild after the hurricane or fire has wiped out the house, smashed up the beloved Honda Fit . . .

then I move into Count-Your-Blessings mode.

RD, glad you missed it.
