Those jeans go for $300 a pair. How is a poor person expected to pay that?

Well, I don't put myself out to be scruffy, but in truth it is a skill I am quite talented at.  I have oft been rebuked for wanting to go to town to go to a tool shop, or hardware shop in working clothes, "You can't go to town dressed like THAT" is drilled into my head with a megaphone.

My response is.... I don't have to prove anything, I really don't care what some person who possibly has 2 tops and a pair of branded trainers thinks. THEY probably want everyone to THINK they have. While in truth they are catching they ass.

In truth on occasion I could make more effort, and sometimes I do, but I am not out to impress people I don't care about one way or the other.

Keeping up with the Joneses ain't easy.

Pretty easy, if they use the brains those supposedly afluent people have lost.

Simply get a regular pair of jeans from Walmart or who ever, and take a razor and bugger them up until they look like crap, then wear them.  Cheap and easy.

Other things take priority for me and trust me cloths is not one of them. Dress for the occasion, but no brand names. I would much prefer to drive an expensive car. This remind me of this guy who I once worked with, he lived in the heart of the ghetto, but drove the most expensive Benz on the market. People are people, but it is ah ashame to ignore you children and wear expensive shit.

You have the wrong priority, you need the grandest fur coat, and biggest antenna. You need to BE the Jones's.    smile
