I'd like to know the real story behind that Mormon massacre

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-50339692

There's something about this story that we're not being told. This extended family are huge landowners in Mexico and has had several run-ins with the drug cartels before. I can imagine that this clan of gringo millionaire Mormons must have rubbed a lot of locals the wrong way - and Mexican landowners are infamous for treating their workers like shit. This wasn't no mistaken identity; they were taken out. But why? A massacre like this is sure to bring down a ton of heat on the perps - who everyone knows of course - so why? What could have been worth all that heat?

Hmm...
