New Grenadian Government Web Portal

Launched today, the new all-purpose web portal can be accessed here: https://www.mgovernance.net/

Note that everyone, in order to access services on the portal, will have to register.

But you don't have to register to look around, and look around you do, as the flipping of images makes your eyes spin. It's really unhelpful, and annoying.

Re: New Grenadian Government Web Portal

Will these portals and e-government make them any more efficient? Or employ any less people? No. Barbados is the best, you think Greenz is bureaucratic? Bim has the gold medal!! The other day they took off annual car tax and put it on the price of petrol instead (ie you end up paying more). But the good news is no more queueing up endlessly at the Department of Making You Wait, right? Wrong. So although you don't have to pay anything, you STILL have to do your annual penance at the Bastion of Bureaucracy! And instead of getting one sticker, you now get two, one colour coded one like in Greenz, that you put on your licence plate. But now they're stealing the stickers! And you won't know your sticker is off until the police stop you! And is there 1 person less working at the Ministry? Don't be silly, probably more.

You can't make this shit up.

Rant over

Re: New Grenadian Government Web Portal

In the UK tax disks are a thing of the past as your car reg is logged at Swansea, and tax, insurance and probably MOT is all recorded, so the patrol car drives by, and without lifting a finger the on board computer bleeps, and its goodnight yu done. Blues and twos.

I dunno, while it depends on the rate charged, tax on gas is fairer, as the more you wear out the infrastructure the more you pay to get it repaired. The guy that keeps his concourse vehicle in the garage only polishing it at the week ends pays nothing, and the commercial traveller out on the roads in all weather pays through the nose.

But to put all the duty on fuel and still have licenses on the vehicle is dumb.

Not so sure about that, most people I see have data, for Whatsapp if for nothing else.
