Innit though? And now when you go to the megastore, it's a bloody machine that checks your goods, and it's almost impossible to find the endangered species called store attendants. In the UK today there are no full-service gas stations.

There haven't been for decades, you have to be pretty moronic not to be able to operate a gas pump.

Here in Grenada they have virtually slave labour, who get no benefits worth talking about and crap wages with no overtime for a qualifying year. Yes its a job, but sheite it's also exploitation.

Well, $0.40 a pound.  What is that?  About 15 cents per banana?

It isn't like bananas are hard to get in Iowa.  This is a photo from my home town 110 years ago.  At that time, the town had about 600 people and it was only connected by railroad.  See what is in the window?  Even out on the prairies of Iowa more than a century ago, you could get a banana.

Kinda the same price here in Bmore 39cents ah pound. organic 69. Red Bananas $1.69.  Just imagine Grenadians we never used to get Mat-Ah- buro, now it is about $5.00 ec ah pound. Even Gangan suzie is five bucks ah pound.

Better that than have no job, better that than sitting on the block all day long talking shite. Yes it's a shit job but it's a job. A job that a young person can have for a year or two and then get a better one. A J.O.B.

And exploitation? Oh please, isn't every job exploitation? People love to fling that word around too much. Exploitation is to make ABNORMAL profits, off the labour of others. Exploitation isn't some guy running a gas station on narrow margins and small volumes.

Really, the same guy that just made a massive renewal of his gas station, putting in a convenience store akin to what you might find in USA or the UK.. Yep that guy is scraping the barrel to survive, Chah.

Wicked tune. But where did it get Peter Tosh lol? His death was a sad reflection of what went wrong in Jamaica.
