Life in North Korea

If you want to call it that.

Get past the first couple of minutes. Shades of Berlin Wall.

They have 10 years compulsory conscription for all males, and 7 years for women. Unless you have a degree which aint easy cos the education system is shit.  If you get that degree you only do 3 years. Even the soldiers nbarely get food, many times when they can't even walk due to being so weak they get sent home to recuperate. If they need medical care they have to pay, even as soldiers. Many die. Basic supplies are hardly availible, even the "rich" struggle, as the stuff simply nisn't there to buy.

The richh fund smugglers to bring in rice etc, but if the smugglers get caught it is only the smuggler that pays... usually in a mass execution.

They have roughly 47 per 1000 of the population in the army, as compared to 5 per 1000 in America.
