"The language is what defines us as Jamaicans," insists Courtney Stewart. It is who we are - patois-speakers

Bullshit! Jamaicans speak patois and some do not speak standard English. We must learn the difference and use standard English whenever it is necessary. Jamaicans do understand English even though some cannot peak it. Putting the Bible in Patois makes it rather colloquial and accessible to everyone. But is it right? It is not standard English. The Bible is the word of the living God, therefore, we should have some respect.
