Once you engage them, they will call and call again.
Best not to answer if you don't recognize the number in your contacts but there are times when you have no choice.
Last week I was expecting an important call so answered a ring from a local area code first thing in the morning. The sternly recorded voice gave some BS about a package in my name being seized at the border due to contraband, along with the usual threat that a warrant had been issued for my arrest.
Man did I feel important, but not now please. Not on this day.

The problem is you can not block them. They continued to call about 10 times that day, each time from a different number but same area code.
The bastards sure can be annoying.
