Is this a photo of a Ligaroo?

Supposedly this was taken by a trail camera in Louisiana, out in a Bayou.

There they call it the Rougarou.

Based on the descriptions I have read in Talkshop over the years, this is how I have imagined that a Ligaroo would look...

Re: Is this a photo of a Ligaroo?

See now? What I have been saying for years and I say it in my Honeymoon videos. The people of the Southeastern United States have a special relationship with people of the Caribbean but I insist specifically that it is people from the Windward Islands. That is a cultural observation, not a historical one.

So here we are. Florida Cracker remembers the story of the Ligaroo and the even more graphic details that were associated with the Soucouant. That photo I provided is from one of those Click Bait things you see that the bottom of a news feed. Something about photos so scary that you can't even look at all of them. There are definitely some scary photos there. Then I see the photo from the infrared activated wildlife hunter's game trail camera and they say it is a Rougarou.

I say that a Rougarou in Louisiana is a Ligaroo in Grenada.

Check out what Wikipedia has to say. Tell me where I have heard all this before.

Same creature, with differing ambitions.

The American one of Indian heritage is trying to get released from a spell, the West Indian one is a blood sucker.
