Question for the weather forecasters

Cyclones...Hurricanes/Typhoons, rotate counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere.
What happens when they cross hemispheres, or do they?

Re: Question for the weather forecasters

They don't cross.  The Coriolis effect and the trade winds drive them away from the equator.  At the equator, there would be nothing to make them spin.

Re: Question for the weather forecasters

Thanks. Thought maybe they would either fade out or slam into reverse and pick up again.
