Wet wipes have been the go to helper for most people.

Whether to wipe the babies bum, remove makeup, clean sticky fingers or what ever. There is a purpose made, suitably scented wet wipe for the job.

How did we ever manage with just a simple damp cloth, and a little bit of soap and water.

Of course, the damp cloth was reusable after a quick trip in the washing, but our go to wet wipes end up in toilets clogging water purification plants, land fill, and..... the oceans. Polluting the planet at a horrendous rate. They are from memory, at least 85% PLASTIC, they will not biodegrade, they will become nano plastics and get fed back to you via the food chain.

How dumb are we.

Re: Wet wipes have been the go to helper for most people.

My house has an on site septic system and those things clog it up and I have to deal with it.  Guests carry the cursed things in their purses to wipe their precious asses where ever they go.  I have little note cards in the bathroom:

A Note to Our Guests: This house is served with an on site septic system. Please flush no products other than toilet paper.

Do you think this stops them?  WTF am I supposed to do?  Monitor them?  Sheesh.
