But how would I get there, parachute?

Heh. :-)

Here you go. Fifteen minutes from my house.

New Historian, you are welcome too.  Take your bike on the Lincoln Highway coast to coast.  Four miles from my house.  Or the Grand Army of the Republic Highway, 15 miles from my house.

I was planning a mega motorbike trip across Europe and Italy this summer: canned. Still planning England, Wales and Ireland trip - BUT, it's all in the air at this point, no tickets bought just yet!!

Playing safe eh, riding on the wrong side of the road as usual.... smile

As flights to and from Grenada are almost always full to over brimming I bought my tickets a while back to be sure I could travel, even though it's off season.Since they pulled the 747's off our route travelling is much harder.

Not going for Scotland too? I cant say too much I haven't ever been further North than Blackburn.

Devon, Cornwall and Wales especially Snowdonia are lovely. The Cotswalds, and a touch of Shakespeare Country all good. You did London, and apart from Historical places like York, and Attractive places like Bath. I guess one City is pretty much like another. Although My birthplace where the Pilgrim Fathers departed, and Sir Walter Raleigh and Francis Drake did their bit.... Plymouth, is one of the most boring ugly places in the country. Thanks to being rebuilt after the Germans bombed it to pieces. There is a little bit of the "Old Town" left by the sea, but not much.

You could do the biggie, and go from Lands End in Cornwall to John O Groats in Scotland.

RD - The Military Museum in Brussels is a highly recommended, by me, visit. And the Africa Museum is fascinating - if not done over, it used to display all the loot King Leopold stole - despite the origin, the building in the park is lovely.

That would be great to do a road trip out your way.
I was hoping to do so last summer but those plans went sideways due to some scheduling issues.
Maybe this summer.

I'm hoping to do the UK trip, for all of August - I need a break! Also I'm retiring at the end of July - finally this time lol! Well, almost finally.

I'm getting a bike to bring back to Grenada, probably a Honda NC750, and I'd like to put some serious miles on it before shipping it! Cornwall, Wales and Ireland - for now. Italy can wait. Hopefully it'll all have died down by then - or we'll have died down!

NH, be sure to hit County Mayo and the Westport area. You must climb up Croagh Patrick and have a pint at Campbell's pub before and after.
I'll be up in the Donegal, Derry and Antrim area next month, if not in quarantine.

Mayo is one of my two destinations in Ireland! My good friend Niall has boat and farm in Newport and does all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff out there, like farming mussels. Great pubs, friendly people, and a great craic! Then we ride down to Dingle and onto Enniscorty - where my cousin lives! I love Ireland. Except the weather!!
