Beyond the Curtilage

In Barbados we've learned a new Corona word: curtilage. Basically it's your house, but only Bajans would use some old legalese like that lol!

Beyond the Curtilage

Day by day I sit and wait
Praying for something to do
Watching and waiting
Anticipating
Keeping my eyes on that gate

But our leader say we can’t go out
Can’t go beach, can’t walk ‘bout
Can’t buy rum, can’t buy beer
Can’t go anywhere
In this fucked-up year

She says we must stay at home
Within our curtilage
That’s just a fancy way to say
Treat our home as an island
And our gate as a bridge

Never before have I been so glad
To escape beyond the curtilage
Even if it means
I’m ready it seems
To happily take out the garbage!

Re: Beyond the Curtilage

Allu too careless boy, you keep on getting cases, right up to the 23rd May. Steady 2 here, 2 there...

I know we got a sudden group infection, but it was from a workplace, and I have a sneaking suspicion it came via a grain shipment from the US of A... could be wrong, but as a flour mill it seems the most likely cause, as there were no other cases reported after the initial imported cases.
