I took this photo of the Comet Neowise over the corn in Iowa on the evening of July 19th. 

The elongated shapes of the stars is due to the long exposure.  That's how far the earth turned during the 30 second exposure time.

Yep, all good. I don't think it comes into our viewable space. Which is a shame.

Well done.

What is of course even more amazing is that although depending on ISO setting their may be graininess, but even so, basically every grain we see is probably either a distant star, or an even more distant galaxy.

Are you going out at the same time of night? Can you tell how far the comet has traversed in the last couple of nights?

Yes, it is over time.  Take a look at the first photo.  See the two stars side by side in the upper left corner?  Those same two stars are just to the left of the comet in the second photo.  It is rising a little every night.  The first was on the 19th the second was on the 20th.
