Flying to Grenada on InterCaribbean

For the first time in my living memory, I'll be flying from one island to another, and NOT on Liat!! This is encouraging though, will give a rundown of the whole procedure later.

The service from interCaribbean Airways on this short trip to Grenada was exceptional! My return flight was cancelled due to Tropical Storm Laura affecting the Turks and Caicos Is, I got a call to inform me of the possible cancellation and another to confirm the cancellation and finalize a rebooking. I was also offered a free one way ticket voucher for the inconvenience (I didn’t even know how to react to this level of professionalism in regional travel ?) Stark contrast to my last trip to Grenada with Liat, where my flight was cancelled for three consecutive days! I was not informed and made the trip to the airport for three consecutive days! No apologies, no compensation, hours in line to rebook and a terrible attitude from the workers on top of it all. Embrace the change y’all!

The benefits of competition.  One of the many reasons why monopoly capitalism and socialism suck.

That's one (ONE) of the pains in the ass about living in a small island: too small for competition. One Ford dealer, one Toyota dealer, 1 ....

And boy, do they ever practice price gouging!!!

Trying to figure out why a flight to/from Barbados is affected, unless the origin is way up in Miami, or some other US based airport.

A bit of customer satisfaction can go a long ways.
Is InterCaribbean Airways a new carrier in the region?

Re: Flying to Grenada on InterCaribbean

Flight report. Inter Caribbean not bad, small 30 seater nice plane, only 11 passengers so they ain't making a ton of money. Everyone apart from wifey and I were transits from British Airways which was a tad unnerving lol! All had masks natch. On arrival a fairly long wait while the previous CAL flight was cleared, health officials very efficient and pleasant and we were out about an hour after touchdown. All in all wasn't bad, just long! Were delayed leaving Bim cos 3 Brits had to get tested! Cos Bim and Grenada share the same bubble we don't have any restrictions on movement. Off we go!!

Re: Flying to Grenada on InterCaribbean

I am jealous. I haven't traveled more than 50 miles from my home since March.
