When someone is constantly complaining , its easy to think that they just have a negative outlook on life in the same way that a pessimist might.
The truth is chronic complainers are a whole different breed.
They may not have a negative outlook on life at all , - but they still want you to know that nothing is ever quite good enough.
> Guy Winch - PhD at psychology Today , explains the difference perfectly.

As a self acknowledged pessimist I accept the potential for the worst while all the while hoping for the best.
Had I been more optimistic I might have leveraged my home and maybe made a fortune, but that never happened, bummer, but like millions of optimistic people who took the gamble I didn't lose my home either.
Optimists can achieve great things, they can also be smacked in the face with a frozen fish.
