France's debt of dishonour to Haiti

"And Haiti was still paying off this "independence debt" in 1947."

France in a real, tangible sense OWES Haiti BILLIONS of dollars, for money that France, with the aid of the USA and Britain, extorted out of Haiti, for having the "audacity" of earning their own freedom from slavery. Napoleon "freed" the slaves, then realized he was broke so re-enslaved them again.

You can run, you can ingore and deny, but you can NOT hide from history!

Good question, and they must be held accountable, past and present. But when the average citizen is illiterate, and even the leaders have only basic education, what do you expect?
