Turkey legs are tough and full of tendons.  They have to be prepared a certain way to be really good.  You know, like pork ribs or beef brisket.  I put them on hickory smoke at about 200 degrees for two hours and then in an oven bag at 200 for another two or three hours.  Then they are fall-off-the-bone tender.

Cooking is just something I don't do... other than fry an egg, or boil some noodles.. and thare rarely happens.

I just figured you cook a whole turkey and given that somebody else did it it came out ok... lets try just a piece of one.... Big mistake...

Re: HAPPY TURKEY DAY AMERICANS.

Two turkey wings can be bought for next to nothing, 2 or 3 bucks.
Brown them up in a pot with a bit of olive oil. Add some water and let them simmer into a nice broth.
Loads of meat on those wings for an excellent soup.

Expat, if you like to eat good food, you have to learn to cook.
