What makes this story so blasted interesting is that the Afro-American writer, Zora Neale Hurston discovered him. Yes, the King of Dohomey was a notorious slave trader and captured many of his enemies and sold them to whites who exploited the situation. Very interesting indeed. I am going to post it on my niece's Facebook page.
