DEFINING FAITH

Sentences catch my notice  and cause me to look a little closer. Like this ...

>> RD's Lutheran faith sentence ...... " we tend to believe faith is not really up to us and is an undeserved gift of  the holy spirit <<

After GMW and RD  started going to the Bible , I decided to add my voice . (research)

" Not even in Israel have I found such great faith "

In the passage of luke 7 about the Centurion who was willing to believe that Jesus  could heal his servant who was near death . The Centurion told Jesus  " just say the word and my servant would be healed"
... In response to the Centurion , Jesus turned to the crowd that was following him and said "  I say to you , not even in Israel have i found such great faith "...
Jesus seemed to be saying that " great faith " was simply taking him at his word.

Hebrews 11    -   they say is referred to as  -  'the hall of fame '
The Hebrew writer , no matter whom  he was talking about  states , that each person had taken god at his word  and obeyed his command , they were remembered for their faith.

** Sarah you will have a son ..... done
** Noah build an ark ... done
** throw you nets in the water ... done

For Me ... faith is the assurance of things hoped for , the conviction of things not seen.
LORD !!! Those guys after me for not coming to Bible study , would be shocked.
