Medgar Evers College has excelled in recent years. It is an accredited college that has provided education and opportunities for middle, low and no income persons, many of whom are of Caribbean descent.
The fact that it is located in the heart of Brooklyn in a Black neighborhood does not diminish what it has accomplished. Under the leadership of Dr. Jackson Medgar has helped to graduate doctors and lawyers and accountants and other professionals who would not have had the opportunity otherwise.
