I agree that there will be rough times ahead.

On the other hand I believe it will be easier for Grenadians to adjust to the situation than predicted.

The values of necessaries and luxuries are quite different as viewed from the ordinary Grenadian as compared with locations overseas in the more developed countries. This gives the local Grenadian a better chance at belt tightening and cutting back.

The ability of the Grenadian to adjust is remarkable and this was shown post Ivan. Ivan is still current in the mind of Grenadians and I believe that they will adjust to meet the situation.

The issue of rising crime and declining economies is not really conclusive. Criminologist are split on this issue just as they are split on the issue of deported criminals being responsible for the rising crime in the Caribbean.
