Historian, I concede to you that Miriam is Xhosa. But that was NOT my point. My point was that the click was Khosian (in terms of the roots). I am not claiming to be a linguist but my cursory knowledge of the Southern African language family tells me that it was the Khosian people gave the world the click sound. The Xhosans are a branch of the Khosian people who got the click from the Khosas. The click sound is the Khosan gift to the world. The difference is like British (Khoisan) and American (Xhosa).
