Many prominent men who are the bible had many wives.
Abraham, Jacob, David and others all had multiple
wives.
In 2 Samuel 12:8, God, speaking through the prophet
Nathan, said that if David’s wives and concubines were
not enough, he would have given David even more.
Solomon was the real sweet boy, he had a 1000 between
wives and concubines (essentially wives of a lower
status or modern day prostitutes as in a Pimp
ring)...see 1 Kings 11:3.
Does that mean that Christians should stop believing
in the bible? No, to each his own. We can't use ancient
history to judge any religion or movement.
