MNIB produce company to be given to WINFRESH company and workers will be given a severance package and sent home.

MNIB will keep the importing part of the business.

I saw or heard this some where but have not seen it written down and don't know what source I got it from to verify.

WINFRESH is the company that bought Dr. Mitchell's (not Keith) agro-processing plant and farm which use to produce boxed juice.

WINFRESH website: http://www.windwards-bananas.com.

Will that mean that if this company makes money that we have to share its revenue with the rest of the islands? How much money did our Government put to buy the processing plant in St. David's? How will this new development affect the current suppliers to Marketing Board?

This according to someone in the report is a step towards Government guaranteeing price and market to farmers i.e. whatever you produce as long as it is in accordance with our program we would buy from you at the guaranteed price and in the quantities agreed.

I have not seen anything written as yet or repeated about this MNIB development so I can't confirm. I don't even know if it was a dream.
