There are by nature more women than men (God made it that way) because of the way man is in his nature to acquire power and wealth, those who cannot control their greed instigate wars which in turn cause less men to exist as men tend to die in war... Which leaves more women on the face of the earth... Man was made by God in a more rugged way. It is his responsibility to care for and maintain women... When there are more women than men, if men are not around to satisfy their needs and sexual desires, we end up with social corruptions like lesbianism, and outside woman problems... Islam says NO.. Legalize the marriage of more than one women to a man and make him responsible for the women he marries, to care for them and care for their offspring together as a coherent family unit... There is more structure to that and security is there for the woman and the child.... Look how many Grenadians don't even know who their father is... just because their mother was outside woman to so many different man... It is degrading to women and upsets social order to the point where a man can later marry his half-sister without even knowing it.

Men and women are equal in their deeds in the sight of Allah, but they are not equal in their role... A woman is blessed to be able to carry children.. A man cannot, is a pregnant woman and a man equal?? of course not.. In that regard SHE is must better than he is, and does that job while he cannot.. so they are not equal... You need to understand this...
Once you understand that, then we can move on... A woman cannot have more than one husband... i will show you why.. Take four identical marbles put them in a bag... Pick one... put it back in the bag, then open the bag and show me the one you picked... if the marbles are identical, you cannot identify the one you picked... likewise... If a woman has 4 men, she cannot know who the father is... Now you will tell me well today we have DNA testing.. Well Islam is a religion for everyone, not only the few who can afford DNA testing or the few who have the technological availability to do DNA testing. Polyandry blurs the lines of family lineage and would result in social havoc and plenty deformed children as a result of inbreeding later down the line.
Further, to satisfy sexual desire, a woman gets pregnant and for some time cannot fulfill the sexual desires of her husbands, what are they to do then?? While having sexual relations during pregnancy is not a problem, it is a well known fact that women react differently to pregnancy, where some of them desire more sexual contact and others are disgusted by the idea... for those who are disgusted, what are those 4 men to do to satisfy their desire... I know you can always say they can control themselves... come on man, you can say what you want, the nature of man is not that way.. Just look at Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods, even preachers Jimmy Swagart et al... Further to that, if one woman had more than one husband, there would be less men per woman especially as the population of men is so small already... What will all those other women without men do to satisfy their emotional and sexual needs?? Lesbianism?? It is a corruption and perversion !!
As such, it is logical and a reasonable solution to the problems we face globally.
