By dear brother, It is of course your preference to take umbrage with every breadth that the Leader of the Opposition breathes. It is also naturally your right to denouce every step he takes and every word he utters.
I will stand with you and defend your right to freely express your outrage short of slander against every political and public person you have objection to.
If you write, I will defend that right short of libel.
HOWEVER, MY DEAR BROTHER, we come from the stock of African people. In the New World that we now inhabit, in the independant terrorities where our foreparents toiled fought and died so that their progeny -you, me, KM and Uncle Tilly- could live where we choose, become educated and aspire to be our best, theirs was a fight to the death.
Our Black mothers and fathers -even in our lifetime, were denigrated and called all sorts of names.
The most famous was to deny our humanity by denigrating our color.
That color, 'Black' has been the target of those who wanted to and for a time succeeded in denying us our birthright.
I ain't preaching to you my brother so forgive me because by now you know ah is a long winded fella.
But I know you mean well and are a good soul.
When you refer to KCM by his color I recoil inside and even if your points are taken for their partisan political intent, morally, there is something wanting.
Cuss the man, lambase him; don't give him dinner when he show up at your door. But please, leave the coloration out of it.
He Black just like you and me. And we have fought and died to defend that essential part of who we are and will forever be: Black men and women who make Black babies who will grow up to be good (and bad) people.
Thanks.
