Quite apart from takeoff and landing lengths, what about the economics of this project? How many people with private jets WANT to fly to Carriacou? Grenada, the "big island" only gets private jets once in a while, what makes you think the billionaire brigade is dying to park their jets in kayak?
White elephant alert!! If you're going to spend all that money on building an airport, why not see if you get bigger bang for your development buck by investing in more appropriate projects? How many people will this airport employ, on those rare days that a jet actually shows up? Why not invest in agriculture or fisheries, industries that actually EMPLOY people rather than result in an expensive status symbol?
