So Carriacou would have a bigger airport capable of accomodating bigger aircraft. What about the following considerations:

1. Where is the revenue to maintain and operate this facility going to come from? To those who cite landing fees and tourism, I would like to refer you to the fact that Grenada's International Airport has yet to deliver significantly on that promise and instead, the GoG is perpetually begging and paying for internatioanl service.

2. Does Carriacou really need anything beyond the capacity to handle the occasional Dash 8 at this time. Last time I checked, there was no infrastructure to attract the private jet crowd and to expand the airport before building that infrastructure seems somewhat akin to the tail wagging the dog.

3. Unlike Mustique and Canouan, is there any local desire to develop Carriacou for the private jet crowd?
